The house which looks like spread wings of a bird

Juchon has been Jipseongchon(single-lineage village) for 600 years over generations since the beginning of the head family. Juchon head family, a large Head House of Jinseong Lee Clan, has honored Champangong(the great grandfather of Wonjonggongsin Toegye Yi Hwang) as Bulcheonwi.

This house is a typical southward, tile-roofed one. The squared main house has side houses that are connected to each other, which made the house look like spread wings of a bird, thus, it is called "Nalgaejib(the two wings)".

Thanks to the two wings, Anchae, hidden inside will let you feel the peaceful mood of the historic house.

Especially, the Chinese juniper tree as garden tree(Natural Monument No. 314), which is approximately 600 years old, was transplanted by Champangong from Pyeongan-do Yeongbyeon Yaksan Mountain, during the time of King Sejong. It is the only one fruit tree in the world whose branches are spread out horizontally, entangled every which way with profound and mysterious  atmosphere, making those standing in front of that get inspired as if they were appreciating an art piece exhibited outdoors.
